Rope Pull Ups – Great For Grip and Shoulder Strength

pull-up-ropesWell, the CrossFit Open is not far away. Whilst I doubt that rope pullups will be on the menu, I do suspect there will be a WOD that tests your grip.

I like rope pullups because they really do test your grip. Like rope climbs, the thickness of the rope and the fact that you have already probably done barbell work means that your grip will get a hammering.

The only way to get better at something is by practicing that movement and movements that are related to it…and rope pullups are a good accessory activity…

…if you want to go hardcore, do legless rope climbs – good luck to you if you do (and be safe!)
